Cycling around Scotland

When we go cycling it is usually a wild expedition across the Scottish countryside. With time I shall tell you the story of a few routes you may not have followed before.

  1. The Off-Road to Skye

The story of a 280 mile expedition from Glasgow to Skye using as many backroads and byeways as we could find.

'I have ridden across Rannoch in Winter,
The road to the Isles in July,
Through the pass of Glen Affric,
And the road that goes wild in Glen Dye'

from 'the Rough Stuff Fellowship' a 1940's Ayrshire cycling group

These pages have been assembled to represent some of the interests and knowledge I have accumulated over the years.
